Handmade Originals Ukraine was born from a passion for creativity and a deep respect for Ukrainian traditions. Our journey began in 2009, when we opened a small atelier in Irpin, near Kyiv, sewing carnival costumes for children. Over time, more customers came to us requesting custom embroidered dresses and shirts. Encouraged by their positive feedback, we created our first line of embroidered blouses, dresses, and vyshyvankas in 2013, which soon gained popularity on Ukrainian marketplaces. As demand grew, we collaborated with other Ukrainian brands and started producing embroidered garments and home textiles, including napkins made from natural cotton and linen. In 2019, we officially launched our brand — Handmade Originals Ukraine — and began selling internationally to the U.S. and European markets. But in 2022, everything changed. With the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, our hometown Irpin was under occupation. Many of us lost our homes due to bombings. Some lost loved ones. But we refused to give up. We chose to keep working — for our country, for our people, and for the craft we love. Despite the challenges of war, blackouts, and harsh winters, we continued production — even running generators to fulfill orders when the power was out. Today, in 2025, we still proudly produce our embroidered clothing year-round and ship it worldwide. Our brand is rooted in tradition, resilience, and soul. Every piece we make carries the spirit of Ukraine — a blend of modern design and authentic embroidery, with every item carefully finished by hand. This is what makes our work so meaningful and unique. We are endlessly grateful to our customers around the world for supporting us through the most difficult times. Your trust gives us strength.
